How to Disable Second Monitor

This post provides two ways in which you can disable second monitor on a Dual Monitor Windows Computer. The first method is to use Windows Control Panel and second method is to use system tray menu of MurGeeMon. In order to disable second monitor, you do not need to remove cables or anything else. Yes even when the second monitor is disabled, it does draws a little power, but allows you to enable the Second Monitor with Keyboard and Mouse.

In case you do have any shortcuts or application windows on second monitor, they will move to the primary monitor automatically.

The above screenshot displays how to launch the Screen Resolution Control Panel Applet by doing a Right Click on the Desktop. Once you have the Screen Resolution Control Panel Applet, open, you can Turn Off Second or any other Monitor connected to your Windows Computer.
