Jump List is one of the really useful features of Windows 7. The Jump List allows you to launch desired shortcut from Jump List. In contrast the system tray icon can be really clumsy and crowded.

The Jump List can be launched by right clicking on the task bar icon of any given software. It depends on the software provider whether to display Jump List for the software or not. MurGeeMon does displays a really useful Jump List on Windows 7. As Jump Lists are software specific and many old softwares may not display jump list so that you can maximize the benefits of Jump Lists introduced in Windows 7.

Main Screen of Jump List Manager Software

Now MurGeeMon provides an in built Jump List Manager Software for Windows 7. The Jump List Manager can be launched from the Screen Saver tab. Just download the MurGeeMon Software on your Windows 7 computer, launch the software and open up the Screen Saver tab.

On the Screen Saver tab of the Dual Monitor Software named MurGeeMon, you will find a button at the bottom of the screen to launch the Jump List Manager Software on Windows 7. In acse Microsoft decides to name the next version of Windows as Windows 7 as Windows 8 and decides to keep the Jump List feature, the software should work on Windows 8 as well.

Launch Jump List Manager, notice the new icon in the task bar, right click on the task bar icon to see the new Jump List and the with the Jump List Manager Software, you can add new options to the Jump List, delete existing jump list items or move them up or down in the Jump List. You can even drag the Task Bar Icon of the Jump List Manager Software in the taskbar to a new location of your desire.

Now it is really easy to change Login Screen of a Windows 7 Computer. Whether you are using 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7, changing Login or Welcome Screen is now really a single click away.

The Login Screen image is a single configurable image for single, dual or multiple monitor windows computer. The Actual process for changing the login screen on a Windows computer is to change HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background\OEMBackground to 1 and copy the image file of less than 256 KB to %windir%\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\backgroundDefault.jpg Or you can simple select an image and set it as Login Screen background as displayed below. One Click on the button Set As Login Screen will set the required registry keys and will attempt to convert the selected image file to less than 256 KB to set it as Login Screen of Windows 7.

Change Login Image of Windows 7

Apart from changing Login Screen , the software presented above can be really useful for managing desktop background images of a single or dual monitor windows computer. You can even select a background image and rotate it to right or left and can even convert the image to grey scale. Whenever converting an image the software backup the original image file to MurGeeMon folder (which can be selected from the drop down list of the Monitor Background tab of the software ) . Download the Software now and get full control over your single or dual monitorwindows 7 , vista or XP computer now. Changing Login Screen is supported only on Windows 7, Windows 8 (If this is the name of next Windows Operating System from Microsoft), and other features will work on other Windows Operating Systems.

The Right Click Menu in a Windows Desktop can be one of the easiest things to use in Windows. Default Desktop Right Click Menu provides various useful and easy to use Windows features such as to provide a way to create a new file or folder, paste file or folder onto desktop area, sort desktop icons and much more. From Dual Monitor or even Multi Monitor perspective, the area of windows desktop opens up really big area on which the Desktop Right Click Menu can be used.

Desktop Right Click Menu with new options in Windows Vista

The Right Click Menu of Windows has improved with Windows Versions. The Right Click Menu of Desktop in Windows XP was fairly simple, whereas in Windows Vista a new Menu option was added named Personalize and this Desktop Menu trend has continued on Windows 7 as well.

Let’s say you are browsing Internet using Internet Explorer on Secondary Monitor and you close the browser when it was positioned on secondary monitor. Internet Explorer remembers it’s last position and hence if you launch it again, it will be launched on the last monitor, which in this example is the secondary or second monitor connected to a dual monitor windows computer. Imagine how useful would it be if you could right click on desktop while your mouse cursor is on the second monitor and launch Internet Explorer or any other software without moving your mouse cursor back to the primary monitor.

Using Dual or Multi Monitors with a Windows Computer is all about extending Desktop area and in fact with extended Desktop Area, the usability of Desktop Right Click Menu increases as well. Have a look at the screenshot the left which displays many extra menu options added to the right click menu of Windows Vistas’ Desktop. There are two options added to the top (which in this example provide quick and easy way to launch software application such as Internet Explorer, Windows Notepad, or any other application or document) and another two menu options can be seen after the Refresh button (which provide really quick way to change screen resolution). All the extra Menu Options added to the right click menu of desktop are customizable. The top two Menu options can be added to any Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 Desktop or Laptop Computer, whereas the extra options added after the refresh button can be added on Windows Vista and Windows 7. The Dual Monitor Software tweaks Windows features and allows to extract most out of the dual monitors connected to a Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 Operating Systems.

Wanna Change Screen Resolution with a Shortcut on Desktop? In case yes, this is a good place to start with.

Screen Resolution Shortcut to change screen resolution to 1600 X 900

This Screen Resolution Shortcut has been created to change the Screen Resolution to 1600 X 900 and it also changes the bits per pixel to 32 and Monitor Frequency to 60Hz. You can create many such screen resolution changing shortcut(s) which will allow you to change the screen resolution by launching the shortcut. The Shortcut can be placed anywhere, let’s say on Desktop or Quick Launch bar and it can be assigned Shortcut Keys so that you can launch the screen resolution changing shortcut by pressing shortcut keys on keyboard.

This Screen Resolution Shortcut can be created for any Windows Operating System. Be the Windows Operating System may be Windows 7, Vista or even Windows XP. Just launch the shortcut to set the screen resolution according to your requirement. Now you would not need to go to control panel and struggle with Screen Resolution or Display Resolution conrtol panel again and again. The shortcut can be created to either change temporarily the screen resolution (which would mean that if you do log off, the screen resolution would be reverted to the old screen resolution) and the resolution changes can be done permanently (which would mean that unless you change the screen resolution again, the screen resolution would be changed to the new screen resolution).

You can even use the shortcut to change only DPI setting of a Computer screen by selecting the default or original screen resolution and by selecting a different DPI. 8, 16 and 32 DPI or Bits per pixel are supported. Sounds interesting ? And yes when you create the Screen Resolution shortcut, you will get an option to select any of the Dual Monitors connected to your computer.

Wanna give it a try, just navigate to Resolution Controller document and download the Dual Monitor Software which does offers many other useful functionalities to control your Computer Screen.

Now a days all the operating Systems have become really sophisticated and the latest ones must be supporting dual monitors. Writer of this blog entry has information about Windows only upto this date and hence can only talk about about Dual Monitor Support with Windows. Yes Latest Windows Operating Systems do support having Dual Monitors with your Computer, be it Laptop or Desktop Computer.

Dual Monitor Support in Windows 7

Windows provides Dual Monitor support starting with Windows Control Panel. The Windows Control panel allows to configure and move Monitors around in a virtual space. You can even enable or disable any of the connected Monitor(s) from the Control Panel. The options available are to control the Monitor Resolution, select whether to clone or to extend the display, select whether to display the counputer output in Landscape or Portrait format and position monitor location in the big virtual desktop space. Other Windows Operating Systems such as Windows Vista, and XP also supported connecting Dual Monitors with a Windows Computer.

In case you would like to get Dual Monitor Support from Software perspective such as asking about some specific functionality (let’s say Can I Enable or Disable Monitors with a Desktop Shortcut) which is not available with Windows and you would like to use a Dual Monitor Software Utility for the purpose, you can visit Dual Monitor Forum which has been designed for a Dual Monitor Software and has many easy to view & follow questions and answers related to having custom functionalities such as Dual Monitor Shortcut, Hot Key Combinations to automate repetitive tasks and much more.

Windows 7 sounds like great Operating System. Windows Vista is good with improved Internet Explorer and other security features.

In case you have been using Dual Monitors or Display Devices with Windows XP or Windows Vista, you will be quite amazed to know that Microsoft is trying to listen to our requirements.

Using Dual Monitors or Multiple Monitors may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but Windows 7 has included better functionality and support for Dual or Multiple Monitors. In case so hyped Windows 8 does comes up, it should have more multiple monitors controlling features as compared to Windows 7.

Many more people might be able to afford using Dual or Multiple Monitors connected to their Windows PC, but may be they do not know that this can be done as well. Benefits or uses of having Multiple Monitors can outweigh the extra hardware cost.

The Dual Monitor Software for Windows 7 does supports xp, vista but does have more functionality for Windows 7 and all thanks goes to Microsoft for recognising the need to provide better Multiple Monitor Support in Windows 7.
