Setting up Dual Monitors with Windows 7 would be real quick and easy provided your Computer does have all the required Hardware Setup. For the Software Part, Windows 7 might not even ask you anything to be done for setting up Dual Monitors for your Desktop or Laptop Computer.
Once done with setting up the required hardware, start your Windows 7 Computer with dual monitors connected to your computer and Windows 7 will automatically detect that your computer has dual monitors connected and it will display your desktop on both monitors. Now the trick here is that irrespective of physical size, the resolution of the display will be the same (to minimum resolution supported by both Monitors). This setup is called can be termed as Clone Mode where your display output is cloned to your dual Monitors. You can control your Dual Monitors using Windows 7’s Control Panel’s Screen Resolution Option (Right Click on Desktop to launch Screen Resolution).
There are other Modes of Display in Windows 7 such as Extending your Display output across both the Monitors or using only one of the available Monitors for displaying computer’s output.
